Environmentally Hazardous Substance - 30076

The Environmentally Hazardous Substance (EHS) sign/placard (Marine Pollutant Label) is used to easily identify any liquid or solid material classified as a marine pollutant and to notify shipping personnel and everyone involved in the transportation industry that the substance being transported is dangerous to the environment. These dead tree, dead fish markings are part of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and indicate how contaminants impact marine, soil and ground water systems. The EHS mark is required in addition to the applicable Class label and any other marking (e.g. UN number) where applicable.

If the warning diamond is being posted on a background which does not provide a contrasting colour with the sign, for example a white diamond on a white background, the dotted boundary alternative must be used - 5.2.2.2.1.1 ADR (European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) applicable from January 2011).
