Class 7 - Radioactive Fissile - 30083

This Class 7 - Radioactive Fissile sign/placard is used to warn of potentially hazardous materials in transit. This label applies to packages that contain fissile materials where there may be a risk of self sustaining nuclear chain reaction (criticality). Special controls are placed on fissile materials during transportation to ensure nuclear criticality safety. When applicable, the fissile label will appear adjacent to a radioactive material label. The Criticality Safety Index (CSI) for each package should be noted on the label.

If the warning diamond is being posted on a background which does not provide a contrasting colour with the sign, for example a white diamond on a white background, the dotted boundary alternative must be used - 5.2.2.2.1.1 ADR (European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) applicable from January 2011).
