Class 4 - Dangerous When Wet - 30069
This Class 4.3 - Dangerous when wet sign is used to warn of potentially hazardous materials in transit. Class 4.3 contains substances which react with water, either as liquid or as vapour, and generate flammable gas (e.g calcium carbide). In enclosed vehicles they can be affected by condensation. This can be ignited by the heat of the reaction. They must be kept in watertight containers, hermetically sealed to avoid the entry of moisture or water vapour.
If the warning diamond is being posted on a background which does not provide a contrasting colour with the sign, for example a blue diamond on a blue background, the dotted boundary alternative must be used - 5.2.2.2.1.1 ADR (European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) applicable from January 2011).
Please select a sign size which complies with the minimum sign dimensions required for the intended application.
